Villas and Fincas with Tennis Court in Mallorca

A villa with a tennis court and a private pool: an early match while the air is cool, then straight into the water. For every house we tell you before you book whether the court belongs to it alone or is shared within an estate.

Where the courts are

A private tennis court needs space, and that is found mainly on large plots away from the coastal resorts. In the northwest, the houses sit in the Tramuntana near Sóller and Banyalbufar, mountains behind them and, at some, the sea in view. Around Palma there are substantial estates within easy reach of the city and the airport. In the island's interior, fincas near Alaró and Ariany stand among fields and almond trees, where the evenings fall quiet. Our region pages describe each area in more detail.

A villa with tennis court and pool for family and friends

Each of these houses has a private pool, and at some it can be heated. Several are large fincas with room for families and groups of friends, and a court brings everyone together: the keen players hold a tournament while the rest watch from the shade. How many guests a house may take is set by its holiday rental licence and shown on its page. For groups of 10 or more, see our collection of large villas for groups, and for a closer edit of fincas in the countryside, our luxury fincas.

Tennis in Mallorca

Mallorca has a close relationship with tennis. Each June, a week before Wimbledon, ATP Tour players compete on grass at the Mallorca Championships in Santa Ponsa, and our magazine covers how to enjoy tournament week. In Manacor, the Rafa Nadal Academy has a museum devoted to Rafael Nadal's career, a rewarding outing for anyone who loves the game. On your own court, by contrast, there is no booking sheet: in summer, play early in the morning or late in the afternoon as the heat fades.

And padel?

Padel is hugely popular in Mallorca. We do not currently have a house with its own padel court, and we will not list one simply because there is a club down the road. There are padel courts at clubs in many towns across the island, usually booked by the hour, and on request we will suggest one near your house. If padel matters as much to you as tennis, mention it when you enquire and we will factor the distance to the nearest club into our suggestions.

Frequently asked questions

Does the tennis court belong to the house?

At most houses, yes. Where the court is part of an estate shared with other houses, we tell you before you book.

Are there villas with a padel court?

Not at present. There are padel clubs in many towns across Mallorca, and on request we will suggest one near your house.

Are rackets and balls provided?

That differs from house to house. We ask the owner and let you know before you travel whether to bring your own.

Can I book a tennis coach?

A coach is not one of our concierge services. Ask us anyway and we will make enquiries locally, but we cannot promise one.

Are there villas with a tennis court in Ibiza too?

Yes. Below the listings, houses in Ibiza with a tennis court appear in a separate section; the main selection covers Mallorca only.
