Villas to rent in Mallorca with a private pool
Choosing a villa in Mallorca with a private pool starts with a simple question: how do you want to spend your days? A finca sits in the countryside, often among olive groves and dry-stone walls, with quiet and long views; you will drive to the beach and the nearest village. A villa is more often found in a coastal village or on a hillside above the sea, closer to restaurants and coves. This page brings both together, each house with a pool of its own. Pool sizes and styles
The pools range from a compact basin in a walled courtyard to a long swimming pool stretched across a finca garden. Some are infinity pools built into the hillside, the water's edge meeting the horizon; others sit sheltered between stone walls and trees. The size is shown on each house's page wherever the owner has provided it, and if it is missing, we will ask on your behalf. The filters above the listings narrow the selection further, for example to villas with sea views or a heatable pool.
Heated pools for spring and autumn
In high summer a pool in Mallorca rarely needs heating. In spring and autumn, though, the water is too cool for many guests, and that is when pool heating matters. Some of the houses here have it. Whether heating is available for your dates, what it costs and how many days' notice it needs varies from house to house, so we confirm all three with the owner before you book. Every house with a heatable pool is gathered in our collection of villas with a heated pool.
Pool villas with sea views, or in the countryside
Many of these houses look out to sea, particularly in the southwest, the southeast and around Palma, so that from the water you see bays, harbours or an open horizon. Others sit inland among fields and almond trees, or on the slopes of the Tramuntana, where evenings are cooler and quieter. Which suits you depends on whether you would rather have the view or the seclusion. Children and the pool
For families, what matters is whether the pool can be watched from the terrace and how deep it is. Tell us what you need, perhaps a shallow end or a pool in full view of the shade, and we will tell you which houses offer it. Pool fences and alarms are not yet recorded for every house, so we check with the owner before you book rather than promise what we have not confirmed. Houses with a cot, a high chair and at least four bedrooms are in our family villas collection.
Frequently asked questions
Is the pool entirely private?
Yes. This page only shows houses whose pool belongs to the rented house alone, so you share it with no one. Ask us how secluded it is from the neighbours; we know each house from our visits.
What is the difference between a finca and a villa?
A finca was originally a country house with its own land, usually inland. Villas are more often on the coast or at the edge of a village. On this page, both come with a private pool.
Are the pools heated?
Not all of them. Some houses have pool heating; whether it is available for your dates, what it costs and how much notice it needs is confirmed with the owner before you book.
How large are the pools?
That varies from house to house, from compact courtyard pools to long swimming pools. The size is listed on each house's page where provided; if it is missing, we will ask for you.
